Me & Tate got back early yesterday afternoon from El Paso. We had gone with my Mom, Grandma, Aunt Marsha, and Aunt Kim. We visited with my Uncle Melvin's entire family, and attended my cousin Michael and his wife Verna's baby shower. It was so fun! I saw cousins that I haven't seen in over a decade. I got to meet their spouses and their children. It was a 7 hour drive (14 total), and Tate did well for most of it. He fizzled out at the end, and spent the last four hours talking, and screaming. Begging for our attention. It was a lot of fun, and definitely worth the drive. I learned a lot about this family, and I think they are amazing. I have never witnessed first hand a family with so much love for each other. They way they take care of, and look out for each other is extraordinary. I'm happy to share all the details I learned on next month's family highlight (on the Slade family blog).
