Jaren is doing well. Green's everyday woohoo! He is a good kid. Who has developed his mom's attitude as of late. Wow, I didn't know he had it in him.
Anyways, after a brief stint of fit throwing before school. He now go's no problem. I just wanted to add that I was very happy with the way the school handled it. He does protest sometimes. Saying "school is boring". I just remind him he still has to go, and he can choose what kind of a day he will have. He loves P.E., and to play with his friends. He's not a big fan of the cafeteria lunch. He has tried it a few times. I have to say I don't blame him much.
However, it took Mommy a little more getting used to.
- I don't like dropping my first born off. Letting him cross the prison gates. While I have absolutely no idea what his day is like on the other side. I would ask lots of questions with dead end answers. Richard told me I was being nuts. I told him I wanted to home school. Instead I have decided to take a much more active role. I have signed up for PTA, volunteering in the class room. (which you actually have to go through an orientation and everything.) We have also had lunch with Jaren. Which he absolutely loved, until it was time for us to leave.
- The principal yelled at me. Not like mean in my face or anything like that. But he actually called me ma'am. "Don't call me ma'am I am like 30 years younger than you". Okay, not really but I'm pretty sure he is older than my dad.
- Drop off and pick up. What a nightmare. Today I was honked at. Oh, yeah did I mention that I was yelled at by the principal during pick up? "Sorry I didn't know your rule Mr."
- I'm really not hating on the parents of the charter school kids now. It can be really hard to send your kids to school. I feel like I have to let go (a little). Something I am not very good at. I still feel pretty strongly about keeping him in public school.
- Waking up at 6:30 every morning. No fun:(
- Now I want to mention the things I do like.
- His teacher is wonderful!
- Jaren has many friends. I don't know why I worried about it in the beginning. He's a social bug.
- So far the staff have been very patient, and helpful. (Minus the principal incident.)

Okay...I need moe details on the principal incident!!!
Sorry if you didn't understand that...
moe = more
The principal should only be yelling at the kids, not the parents. Oh wait, nevermind.
Yes, tell us more. Or moe.
Love the new blog look and photos, too.
Good job with the PTA thing...I have to go through orientation too. It takes a lot to be actively involved but it's worth it. I'm so impressed with your volunteerism.
I got yelled at by the crosswalk lady...
I also volunteer in Journee's classroom twice a week and the orientation is no big deal.. I cant believe you got yelled at by the principal!! For what reason? By the way I love the new pictures
Way to be involved!!!!!!
I have decided that the school needs to put out a usfull list of "Helpful Hints". i.e. what is the best way to drop off and pick up your kids so you don't get yelled at or get a ticket like meeeee!
