A quick update

A lot of people have been asking how I am feeling. So I thought I would just do a real quick post. First I wanted to say I don't like the word pass. It sounds like we are talking about gas. I also don't like the word stone. So I will call it my flower. For pass we will use the word bloom. Just for fun. Flowers are gone. YAY!!! Yes, It is just as bad as labor. Frighteningly similar to be honest. When they finally bloomed there was that feeling of relief you get just after labor. I know kind of weird. Yes Jen after all that pain I think I deserve a shower. My flower was to big to bloom on it's own so I had to have surgery to have it removed. Anyways, I was starting to feel much better until they took the stint out. (It was placed there during surgery. It is a little tube that goes form the kidney to bladder.) The doctor said I would have little peddles from the flower left. I would have to let the peddles bloom. Just terrific! More pain, and more trips to the emergency room. I don't know if I mentioned I also had an infection. It wasn't getting better after the first antibiotics. So I have more. The infection is causing nausea, vomiting, and some more pains. The good news about that is I have lost almost 10lbs. If you were all worried that I was gonna wither away. Don't, I will gain it back in like a day once I am feeling better. The pain is usually at night. Like smack dab in the middle. Needless to say sleepless nights. So if you see me out and about, and it looks like I haven't slept in almost 3 weeks it's because I haven't. The good news is I have learned a lot of things from this whole ordeal I like to call my little trial.

  1. I have the best husband in the whole world! He has taken wonderful care of me.

  2. If you wait long enough dishes don't do them selves. Laundry doesn't either.

  3. Heavenly Father has given me so many wonderful people who love and care about me! More about that another time.

  4. Kidneys are very sensitive. They don't like infections or little flowers. I'm talking little. Mine was big and it was only 6 millimeters. Millimeters people.

Lori I am so sorry you still have not been feeling well. Are you guys still coming over Labor Day? We would love to be able to see you guys if we could. Just let me know. Give me a call.

I guess the unfortunate thing is that at least when you go through labor, you have a cute little baby as a reward. I don't think you'll be cuddling your "flower" anytime soon. Sorry you've had such a long recovery.

I am thinking...you teaching an enrichment class, with visual aids. You would leave everyone speechless.
Thanks for making me realize that I NEVER want to go through that experience, and for making me think of something else whenever I hear the word 'flower.'

That is overwhelming.

I'm tired just from reading.
